Baby formula stolen; man charged - SCC Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, NSW

Police have charged a man over his alleged role in the coordinated theft of baby formula in Sydney’s north-west, NSW Police say.

In February 2018, detectives from the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Dungv to investigate the coordinated theft and distribution of baby formula and vitamins across Sydney.

Strike force investigators have previously charged a 48-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man. They remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, detectives arrested a 35-year-old man at a home in McKillop Place, Dundas Valley, about 8am today (Monday 5 November 2018).

He was taken to Granville Police Station where he was charged with dispose property - theft serious indictable offence, larceny, and participate in criminal group contribute criminal activity.

It will be alleged in court that the man stole baby formula from a supermarket in Carlingford before the formula was then sent overseas.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.

Investigations under Strike Force Dungv continue.
