A woman has been charged after she allegedly performed an aggravated burnout in an illegally modified vehicle – with a baby in the car – at Liverpool.
About 10.50pm on Friday (28 June 2019), officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command were conducting patrols in the vicinity of a donut shop on Orange Grove Road, Liverpool, when they noticed a Holden Calais performing a large burnout in the shop's car park.
Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 23-year-old woman. A ten-month old child was observed in the rear seat.
Police then examined the vehicle, noting it had illegal modifications. The six-cylinder engine had been replaced by a highly modified V8 engine, with only a partial exhaust system fitted.
The woman was found to be a holder of a P2 licence, however no p-plates were displayed on the car.
The woman was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of aggravated burnout, to appear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 17 July 2019.
She was also issued infringement notices for drive prohibited vehicle ($561), not display p plates ($263), not carry licence ($112), and her drivers licence was suspended.
The vehicle was issued with a major grounded vehicle defect.
A child at risk report was submitted to FACS regarding the incident.
