Backing Emergency Call-Takers To Keep Victorians Safe

VIC Premier

Last year, Triple Zero Victoria answered almost 3.1 million calls for help.

That's 8,500 calls a day or one every 10 seconds.

As demand continues to grow, the Victorian Budget 2026/27 backs Triple Zero Victoria.

The Budget invests $101.9 million to upgrade Triple Zero Victoria's telephone infrastructure.

This helps deliver smoother call handling, so emergency services get to Victorians sooner.

Labor's investment in TZV has delivered record levels of frontline call-takers.

Now, there's more than 1,000 people ready to help Victorians on their worst day.

Only Labor will back our emergency services with what they need to keep Victorians safe.

The Liberals will just cut.

As stated by Minister for Emergency Services Vicki Ward

"This investment means our frontline emergency services can get to Victorians in need sooner."

"We back Triple Zero Victoria - now, there's more than 1,000 call-takers ready to help Victorians on their worst day."
