The City of Perth will be upgrading bike lane infrastructure on Barrack Street between Wellington Street and St Georges Terrace as part of its Bike Plan 2025 - 2035.
Barrack Street is a key north–south biking route, and these works will improve safety and usability through enhanced lane markings, surface treatments and separation from traffic.
Works are scheduled to start on Monday 27 April 2026 and will take approximately two weeks to complete.
Works will be undertaken at night to minimise disruption to businesses and road users.
What to expect:
- Temporary lane closures and changed traffic conditions
- Traffic management in place during works
- Some noise associated with night works
