Bass Coast detectives charge five after drug trafficking investigation

Bass Coast Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged five people following an extensive drug trafficking investigation over the past four months.

A 45-year-old Wonthaggi man has been charged with multiple counts of traffick drug of dependence, prohibited person possess firearm, aggravated home invasion and aggravated burglary.

A 43-year-old Foster man has been charged with traffick commercial quantity of drug of dependence, multiple counts of traffick drug of dependence and handle stolen goods.

A 34-year-old Dalyston man was charged with traffick commercial quantity of drug of dependence, traffick drug of dependence and possess proceeds of crime.

A 35-year-old Foster man was charged with traffick commercial quantity of drug of dependence.

A 38-year-old Wonthaggi North woman was charged with multiple counts of traffick drug of dependence.

During the arrest of two men in Cranbourne on Saturday, officers seized a large amount of methylamphetamines and approximately $13,000.

All five faced Latrobe Magistrates' Court and were remanded to reappear at a later date.
