Beenleigh Sudden Death Under Police Investigation

Police have charged a woman with murder as part of investigations into the sudden death of a man at Beenleigh yesterday afternoon, 18 August.

Around 4.45pm, police were called to a Lubach Street residence following reports of an altercation between three people who lived at the address.

Police will allege that during the altercation, the woman stabbed the 66-year-old man, who then died at the scene.

A crime scene was declared and police took a 47-year-old man and 43-year-old woman into custody.

Police charged the 47-year-old Karalee man with one count of murder this morning.

Police have now charged the 43-year-old Beenleigh woman with one count each of murder, acts intended to maim/disfigure/disable and contravention of domestic violence order (aggravated offence).

Both are scheduled to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, 19 August.
