Before I Turn 100 - Reflect, Connect And Dream

Celebrate ageing and share your dreams and aspirations for the future!

'Before I turn 100' is an interactive community arts project everyone can contribute to.

This initiative has been inspired by American artist Candy Chang's Before I Die project. It has now been adapted over 5,000 walls, in 35 languages and 75 countries across the globe.

'Our public spaces are as profound as we allow them to be. At their greatest, our public space can nourish our well-being and help us see that we are not alone as we try to make sense of the world.' - Candy Chang

The project aims to create a space where we can come together, pause, reflect and share our dreams.

Bring your family and friends, grab some chalk and get involved this November.

Your unique responses will help shape a community art exhibition at Hawthorn Arts Centre in 2026. The exhibition will weave together voices from across the age span, from the dreams of children to the stories and wisdom of Boroondara's centenarians, as we celebrate our vibrant community.
