Bidding Begins for Unclaimed Goods at Caldermeade

Cardinia Shire Council is inviting bid submissions for a collection of abandoned items on a Council-owned property in Caldermeade.

The proposed sale of these items is undertaken by Council in accordance with Part 4.2 Disposal of Uncollected Goods of the Australian Consumer Law and Fair Trading Act 2012.

This presents a unique opportunity for the public to purchase a collection of items including, but not limited to tools, paint, mattresses, furniture, gardening supplies.

The goods are in varying condition, as they've been stored in open, outdoor sheds.

The full collection of items is available for viewing on Council's website at www.cardinia.vic.gov.au/PublicNotices

The minimum reserve price for the entire collection is $200.

Other conditions of sale include:

  • Bids must be for the entire collection advertised, not individual items
  • The full and final sale amount owed to Council must be fully paid before the items can be collected
  • All the items must be collected from the Council property in Caldermeade on a date agreed upon with the Council between the 23–27 June 2025.

How to bid:

Make a written submission to Cardinia Shire Council, including:

  1. The amount you are offering
  2. Your full name, postal address, email address, and phone number
  3. Agreement to take all items within the collection, if successful
  4. Agreement to collect the items on a date between 23–27 June 2025, if successful
