The Minns and Albanese Labor Governments are today unveiling the proposed design for Spring Farm Parkway Stage 2, a three-kilometre, four-lane road that would complete the east-west link between Menangle Park and Spring Farm.
The community are now able to have their say on the proposed design and Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for the project, which is in response to longstanding calls from the local community for a direct connection between the Camden area and the Hume Motorway.
Currently, Spring Farm Parkway has no direct road connection through to the suburb of Spring Farm - as originally intended.
This has meant motorists are forced to travel via Narellan Road, adding unnecessary time and distance to their journeys and putting additional pressure on this key road corridor as Camden continues to grow.
The former New South Wales Liberal-National Government split the project in two and progressed only Stage 1 of the project, which opened to traffic in August 2024, but failed to fund or progress Stage 2 - leaving the critical connection through to Spring Farm unfinished.
Stage 2 would complete the final section of the corridor, allowing motorists to drive on a continuous east-west connection from Menangle Road and the Hume Motorway through Spring Farm to the Camden Bypass.
The Albanese and Minns Labor Governments have committed $15 million to progress the planning for Stage 2.
The public can now view the proposed plan and provide feedback to inform the final design.
Delivery funding would be considered through future Budget processes following the completion of planning and design work.

"Southwest Sydney has waited long enough for the roads it was promised. The second stage of Spring Farm Parkway will finish a job that was abandoned by the former Liberal National government halfway through. This will ensure the growing Macarthur region finally gets the connection it needs."

Member for Macarthur, Dr Mike Freelander:
