Body found after search, NSW

The body of a man, believed to be missing man Jai Ellis, has been found after a large-scale search was conducted in the Tweed area.

The Queensland man had been reported missing this morning after his vehicle was found parked near the Tweed River.

The 21-year-old man had been holidaying with family members in the Fingal Bay area.

A large-scale land and water search was conducted; with police from Tweed-Byron Police District assisted by staff from Queensland Police, Roads and Maritime Services, the State Emergency Service (SES), the Westpac Helicopter, and Surf Lifesaving NSW.

Police are not treating the death as suspicions.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
