Body found in caravan fire in Dandenong South

Police are investigating the circumstances following the death of a woman in a caravan fire in Dandenong South early Tuesday morning.

Emergency services attended the South Gippsland Highway caravan park after reports of a fire just after 3am on 14 June.

Once the fire was extinguished, a search was conducted and the body of a 59-year-old woman was located.

A crime scene has been established and fire investigators will attend the scene in the morning.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.
