A body has been found following a search for man missing in the state's south.
About 6.15pm on Tuesday 23 December 2025, emergency services were called to the Hume Weir, Table Top following reports a man was missing in the water.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District were told a 64-year-old man entered the water from a boat; however, he did not resurface.
Two children on board the vessel were not injured.
A multi-agency search has been underway for several days with volunteers from RFS, SES and VRA Rescue NSW supporting officers from Murray River Police District and the Marine Area Command.
About 11.30am today (Saturday 27 December 2025), the body of a man was found.
He is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be that of the missing man.
A report will now be prepared for the coroner.
