A body of a man has been located in Bago State Forest near Wauchope earlier today.
Officers attached to mid North Coast Police District had been searching for a 48-year-old man reported missing from Brombin yesterday (Sunday 21 December 2025).
Following a widescale search, the body of a man – believed to be that of the missing man – was located in the forest shortly after 4pm (Monday 22 December 2025), near a bogged 4WD.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted in coming days to confirm identity and establish the cause of death.
