The body of a man has been located following a house fire at Gloucester yesterday morning.
About 10am yesterday (Monday 9 March 2026), emergency services were called to Mahogany Drive, Gloucester, following reports of a fire.
At the scene, police located a home fully alight.
NSW RFS and FRNSW firefighters extinguished the blaze; however, the home was destroyed.
Following a search of the home, police located the body of a man.
While yet to be formally identified, the body is believed to be that of the 79-year-old occupant of the home.
The scene was examined by police and other specialist resources, with inquiries continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
