Body Located After Search For Missing Man At Oberon

The body of a man has been located following a search for a missing worker on a dam in the state's west this morning.

About 7:30am today, Tuesday 21 October 2025, emergency services were called to Clover Hills, Jaunter – about 42km south of Oberon – following reports a canoe had overturned.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District – with assistance from the State Emergency Service – arrived and began searching for two men.

A man, believed to be aged in his 30's, was able to swim ashore.

The body of a 29-year-old man was located in the water around 9:15am.

The incident will be investigated by Safework NSW and a report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
