A report is being prepared for the Coroner after a body was located in water near Bondi Beach today, NSW Police say.
Just after 8am today, the body of a man was located about 450m east of Bondi Beach.
Police were alerted and a vessel from the Marine Area Command was dispatched to the area and the body was recovered.
Officers from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the man’s death.
The body has not been identified and forensic examination will take place to determine whether it is the man who went missing off Bondi Beach on Monday (6 June 2016).
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
