A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a body was located north of Coffs Harbour today, NSW Police say.
Just after 1.30pm today, police and emergency services were called to Corindi Beach, about 36km north of Coffs Harbour after a body was sighted in the water.
The body was recovered by officers from Coffs / Clarence Local Area Command.
The body has not been formally identified, but it is believed to be that of a 26-year-old man who went missing in the area earlier this week.
A report is being prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
