The body of a man has been located during the search for a missing snorkeler north of Newcastle, NSW Police say.
About 4.20pm (Wednesday 22 November 2017), police were called after the body of a man was found in waters off Robinson Reserve, Anna Bay.
The body has not been formally identified; however a search has been ongoing in the area for a 29-year-old male snorkeler who has been missing since Sunday (19 November 2017).
That search will now be suspended.
The body will be subject to identification procedures and examination.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
