Body of man located after search - Missingham Creek

The body of a man has been located following a search in the Blue Pool in the Budderoo National Park today.

Emergency services were called to the pool in Missingham Creek – near Robertson – about 8.30pm yesterday (Friday 14 January 2022), after reports a man, aged 26, had slipped on some rocks before disappearing below the water.

Officers from The Hume Police District attended and commenced a search, assisted by officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District, the NSW SES Wingecarribee Unit, NSW Ambulance paramedics, and the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

Police divers attended the scene, and the body of the 26-year-old was recovered from the water about 2.45am today (Saturday 15 January 2022).

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
