The body of a man who went missing while swimming at Wattamolla Beach has been located.
Police were contacted about 6.15pm (Tuesday 29 January 2019), when the 20-year-old man, an Indian National, went missing after he was last seen swimming in the lagoon area about an hour earlier.
Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command, the Dog Squad, and Police Rescue attended and commenced a sea and land search.
Police divers attended and about 1.30am located the body of the man in water a short distance from where he was last seen.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
