Bombala and Cooma Pools' Reopening Delayed to 2026

Major upgrades underway at Council's public swimming pools in Bombala and Cooma will not be completed until early 2026, delaying the planned reopening of these facilities until the new year.

The planned December reopening dates for each pool were dependent on new plant and equipment being delivered by Monday 1 December 2025, as Council advised in its November 2025 project update.

The equipment for both facilities has not arrived. This means that Council has had no choice but to delay the reopening of Bombala Pool and Cooma Pool until early 2026.

Works will continue at both sites to ensure the reopening delay is as short as possible, but no firm date can be set until the new equipment has been delivered.

Council regrets the impact that these delays will have over the summer holidays, and we thank the Bombala and Cooma communities for their continued patience.

Public pools in Berridale and Jindabyne are open now, with Adaminaby Pool scheduled to reopen on Saturday 13 December 2025. Visit https://qrco.de/SMRCpools
