Bondi Innovation Forum to inspire business innovation, May 26

Waverley Council invites the community to join us online on Friday 26 May for our third annual Bondi Innovation Forum presented in partnership with Bondi Innovation and the Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce.

The forum will be livestreamed from Bondi Pavilion Theatre from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Tickets to attend in person have now sold out but you can follow this link to register to view online.

Mayor of Waverley, Paula Masselos, said the forum supports the local business community in their journey to success in addition to recognising and positioning Bondi and Sydney' eastern suburbs as a world class innovation precinct where we aim to retain and attract entrepreneurs, nurture their creativity and support them to flourish.

"Visionaries, entrepreneurs and creatives will share their insights about ways to attract and nurture innovation, to create the right environment so that ideas come to life and to consider ways to spread the benefits of innovation more broadly under the umbrella of this year's theme Daring to Reimagine," Mayor Masselos said.

"The Bondi entrepreneurial community is one of Australia's most active business communities and Waverley Council acknowledges that a lot has changed in business over the past three years, as has our role as an organisation," Mayor Masselos said.

"Our Council is committed to continuing to nurture the growth of our local businesses as they evolve and we have developed a 24-month roadmap to ensure we deliver the right type of support to our businesses, including measures delivered with the help of our partners."

Bondi Innovation founder Ross Dawson said the Forum is now an important established event on the innovation agenda, showcasing Bondi's entrepreneurial excellence on the global stage.

"The Bondi region truly has the potential to be a global centre of innovation excellence, the talent is here and wants to be here, we just need to catalyse their potential," Mr Dawson said.

Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce president, Emmanuel Constantinou said the forum is a platform for our entreprenuial community to amplify and promote forward thinking ideas to help progress our community and is an important catalyst for growth and motivation.

"The Bondi Innovation Forum has become a key event on our calendar to bring together innovative minds and develop forward thinking ways of doing business. It is a day of sharing revoluntionary ideas which will change and shape the way we do business and in turn promotes local economic vitality," Mr Constantinou said.
