Boogying Burglar Dancing In Moonlight

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance in identifying a thief that was feeling the groove before he stole laptops from a school in Sunbury on 23 April.

It is believed a man driving a silver Holden Commodore drove into the carpark of a Sunbury school about 1.10am.

After exiting the vehicle, the not-so smooth operator is captured on CCTV dancing, spinning and jumping while listening to music.

It is believed the man was Dancing In The Dark.

The man then scaled the school property for several minutes before breaking into a building and stealing three laptops and a projector worth more than $5000.

The offender is described as Caucasian, aged in his 30s, with a medium build and long dark brown hair.

He was wearing a red and black hooded jumper, black runners, red headband and blue gloves.

Investigators have released images and CCTV of a man they believe can assist with their enquiries.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit an online confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
