Have you struggled with looking after your health during lockdown? We understand that it is a challenge in these difficult times. The good news is that September marks Library Health Month!
The Hills Shire Library Service has partnered with Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) to deliver FREE live health talks, curated reading lists and expert tips and resources to keep you happy and healthy during the Sydney lockdown.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne said now was the perfect time to start or re-engage on your health journey.
"It's such an overwhelming time, with COVID-19 disrupting our daily lives and schedules," Mayor Byrne said.
"It's easy to feel unmotivated, tired and stressed in lockdown.
"That's why initiatives such as Library Health Month are so important. They provide residents with free access to tips and resources that enable them to learn more about their body, living an active life and how to implement healthy habits into their day.
"My daughters and I have gotten into cooking during lockdown, so I'm really looking forward to the Healthy Snack and Lunch Ideas for Children Workshop. I know they will be excited to make healthy treats together.
"I want to thank WSLHD for their hard work in putting together a fun program that will keep residents entertained and making positive changes in lockdown," Mayor Byrne added.
