Council will provide The Agile Project with $5000 in funding to assist with the relocation of 400 wallabies from the Northern Beaches area.
To comply with the relocation conditions set by the Department of Environment and Science via the Damage Mitigation Permit, The Agile Project required $10,000 in additional funding.
Council endorsed entering into a Resource and Performance Agreement to the value of $5000 with The Agile Project to help facilitate the relocation, with the State Government committed to matching Council's contribution.
Council has previously provided support for The Agile Project, including $122,000 in fencing and with a 2020/21 Community Sustainability Grant of $2,104 in October 2020.
