Boroondara Residents Back Council With Confidence

The City of Boroondara has delivered a standout result in the annual Victorian Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey.

The independent survey found Boroondara's overall performance score increased to 70 in 2026, up three points on last year's result and significantly higher than both the metropolitan average of 64 and the state-wide average of 58. Residents rated Council above metropolitan and state-wide averages across every major performance measure.

The annual survey, coordinated by the Victorian Government, provides an independent and consistent measure of community perceptions of each local council's performance in Victoria.

Residents rated Boroondara particularly highly for its libraries, recreational facilities, waste management services, and the appearance of public areas including parks and gardens.

The survey also found residents have seen significant improvement in Council's environmental sustainability initiatives, efforts to keep the community informed, and waste management services.
