Geelong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a boy following a stabbing in Geelong yesterday afternoon.
It is alleged a boy stabbed another boy at a shopping centre on Little Malop Street just after 3.30pm on 19 February.
The 17-year-old victim was located by police injured nearby with suspected stab wounds.
He was transported to hospital with serious injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.
Today detectives arrested a 16-year-old boy from the Geelong area.
It is expected he will be interviewed this evening.
It is alleged the parties involved are known to each other.
