Boy bitten by dog, NSW

A child has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog at Quakers Hill, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Jocelyn Boulevard about 1pm today (Sunday 18 November), where they found a five-year-old boy with wounds to his neck.

He’s been taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead for treatment.

Two women, who came to his aid, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command are at the scene and have commenced inquiries.

The dog has been contained and will be collected by council rangers.
