Boy Charged Over Robbery In Dubbo

A boy has been refused bail after being charged over an alleged robbery in the Central West.

About 4.30pm on Monday 16 June 2024, a 15-year-old boy was riding an e-bike on Victoria Street, Dubbo, when he was approached by another teen and a man on an e-scooter.

Police were told due to an interaction with all three, the boy was allegedly grabbed causing him to crash into a post.

The boy was allegedly kicked before the man left on his e-bike and the teen left on the e-scooter.

A short time later, officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District were patrolling East Street, Dubbo, when they stopped a boy on a e-scooter.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.

He was charged with robbery in company, use unregistered registrable Class A motor vehicle on road, use uninsured motor vehicle on road, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, and breach of bail.

The boy was refused bail and appeared at a children's court yesterday (Tuesday 17 June 2025), where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Friday 20 June 2025.
