Boy Injured After Hit And Run At Doonside

Police are searching for a driver after a child was struck by a car in Sydney's west this afternoon.

About 3pm today, (Friday 11 July 2025), emergency services were called to Musgrove Crescent, Doonside following reports of a crash.

On arrival, officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command were told a six -year-old boy was riding an e-scooter when he was struck by a car travelling in the opposite direction.

Police were told the driver exited the vehicle before getting back into the car and leaving before the arrival of police.

The boy was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being taken to Sydney Children's Hospital at Westmead in a serious condition.

A crime scene was established as an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to the driver of a white Toyota Camry which was seen in the area around the time of the incident, as investigators believe they may be able to assist with investigations.

Police are specifically appealing to anyone with dashcam footage who might have been travelling along Musgrove Crescent, Adelphi Crescent and Nellie Stewart Drive Doonside, between 2.45pm and 3pm, or who saw a white Toyota Camry in the area, to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
