Boy stabbed in Waterloo

Police are investigating after a boy was stabbed in Sydney’s inner city, NSW Police say.

About 12.15pm today, emergency services were called to John Street, Waterloo, following reports of an assault.

Upon arrival, officers located a 10-year-old boy with a laceration to his torso. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Prince of Wales Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Police attached to Redfern Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Three boys, believed to be aged around 12, were arrested at the scene and taken to Redfern Police Station where they are currently assisting with inquiries.
