East Gippsland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a burglary in Bairnsdale this month, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a man entered a licensed premises on Main Street through a window shortly before 2am on 18 January.
The man was disrupted after activating a security alarm and fled empty-handed through the front doors of the venue.

Police have released images and CCTV footage of a man who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
He is described as about 183cm tall with a solid build, dark hair and a beard, and was wearing a light-coloured T-shirt and ripped three-quarter shorts.
Anyone with information or who recognises the man is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
