Break And Enter Offence, Toowoomba City

Detectives from Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch have charged two men following the theft of money from a business in Toowoomba City on 22 December.

Around 2.40am it is alleged the men forced their way into the business on Hume Street, removing a safe containing cash from an office before leaving the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

On 24 December police executed search warrants at three separate addresses in Toowoomba, Oakey and Boronia Heights where it is alleged, they discovered a large amount of money, believed to have been stolen from the business.

A 28-year-old Harlaxton man and a 29-year-old Boronia Heights man have both been charged with one count each of enter premises and commit and are due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on 17 February.

Investigations remain ongoing.
