Police have charged a man following an alleged break and enter at a business in West Mackay on 14 September.
It will be alleged at around 9.15pm, the man attended a Cemetery Road address and gained entry to the premises through a barb-wire fence and picked tools from the tray of a parked vehicle.
A short time later, police arrived at the business and upon arrival, observed the man leaving the scene on foot.
A police dog unit was deployed and located the man nearby where he was taken into custody.
A 36-year-old Hay Point man has been charged with enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, and obstruct police.
He is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 13 October.
