Break and enters, Bayside

Detectives have released CCTV in an appeal for information in relation to the theft of a vehicle and subsequent break and enter offences at Logan, Gold Coast and Brisbane's bayside suburbs last week.

A red 2014 Volkswagen Polo was stolen from a Light Street address at Springwood in the early hours of February 15.

Investigations indicate the vehicle was used in a series of property crime offences in the Bayside, Logan and Gold Coast areas between February 17 and February 19 where items including medication and tobacco products were stolen.

At approximately 1.45am on Friday February 17, three people used tools to gain entry to a business on New Cleveland Road at Gumdale. (Attached footage).

There, the group unsuccessfully attempted to break into a safe, before stealing it.

No one has been physically injured during any of the the incidents.

Investigators have released CCTV of the Gumdale break and enter, and appeal to anyone with information in relation to the incident or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

Police have also released images of the stolen Volkswagen Polo and appeal to anyone who may recognise the vehicle, or has CCTV or dashcam footage of its movements in recent days, to come forward.

Investigations remain ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
