Police have charged several teenagers following investigations into break ins and car thefts in Manly and Manly West on 16 March.
During the early morning, a group of teenagers allegedly stole a white Toyota Fortuna from a Raeburn Street address in Manly West.
At 12.30pm, the vehicle was later located near a railway crossing on Pritchard Street in Wynnum.
A 12-year-old Manly girl and 15-year-old Wynnum West girl were arrested at the scene and have since been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle (UUMV) and stealing.
The girls are expected to appear before Wynnum Children's Court on 2 April.
A 13-year-old Wynnum girl was also arrested at the scene and charged with one count of UUMV. She will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
The 14-year-old Wynnum West boy was later located and charged with one each of UUMV and enter dwelling and commit. He is expected to appear before Wynnum Children's Court on 2 April.
Police will further allege the incident was linked to a second break in in Manly that night.
It is alleged at 4am, two teens broke into a New Road address and made verbal threats towards an 87-year-old female occupant whilst armed with a knife.
The pair is alleged to have subsequently stolen and fled in the woman's white Toyota Landcruiser which police later recovered abandoned on Gwynne Street in Wynnum West.
The woman was not physically injured during the incident.
On 17 March, police charged a 15-year-old Manly West boy with two counts each of UUMV and enter dwelling and commit, and one count of fraud – dishonest application of property of another.
He is expected to appear before Wynnum Childrens Court on 2 April.
On 18 March, police located and arrested a 16-year-old Keppera boy at a Coralie Avenue address in Wynnum West.
He has since been charged with two counts each of UUMV and enter dwelling and commit, and one count of wilful damage.
His police bail was refused, and he is expected to appear before Wynnum Childrens Court today, 19 March.
Investigations remain ongoing.
