Break-in at Northfield, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in at Northfield in the early hours of Christmas Day.

About 3.30am on Tuesday 25 December, three intruders forced their way into a home in Hoods Road, Northfield. The occupant locked himself in a bedroom and was not injured during the incident.

The suspects stole items from the home and left in a vehicle. One of the men was armed with what appears to be a sawn-off firearm.

Although the investigation is in its early stages, police do not believe this was a random incident.
