Break-in through roof at O'Halloran Hill, South Australia

Police are investigating a break-in through the roof of a house at O'Halloran Hill in the early hours on this morning.

Police were contacted at 7am on Saturday 17 August after the elderly occupant disturbed a man inside her Longview Crescent home.

The intruder, described as a man of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s, wearing a white top, grey pants and sneakers, ran off towards South Road.

Fortunately, the woman was not injured, but she was shaken by the incident.

Police Dogs Havoc and Iggy were called in to search the area for the suspect, but he was not found.

Patrols examined the home and found that tiles had been removed from the roof to gain entry. SES volunteers were called to assist the occupant to replace the tiles and secure her home.
