Bridges reopening after Minor Flood warning lifted

Minor Flooding is no longer expected in the Macleay River.

Low lying areas are advised to prepare for a rise in the Macleay River as a peak moves downstream following heavy rain in the catchment area. The peak is now approaching Kempsey.

Bellbrook and Temagog Bridges are closed.

BRIDGES

  • Bellbrook Bridge is CLOSED
  • Toorooka Bridge is OPEN
  • Temagog Bridge is CLOSED
  • Turners Flat Bridge is OPEN
  • Sherwood Bridge is OPEN

Council staff will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.

FLOOD GATES

The flood gates at Euroka Creek and Christmas Creek are CLOSED.

The Cross Over and Relief gates on Kinchela Creek and Belmore River are CLOSED.

Up-to-date river levels can be found on the Bureau of Meteorology website.
