Brimbank Emergency Services on show

An Expo to showcase Brimbank's emergency service agencies will be held at Watergardens Town Centre on Saturday 28 March.

Meet the people behind Brimbank's emergency services, learn about emergency management in your community and have some fun in the process at the Brimbank Emergency Services Expo.

Brimbank Mayor, Cr Georgina Papafotiou said the family-friendly expo would be a great opportunity for the community to gain a better understanding of the important services these agencies provide.

'This is the second time we've hosted an Emergency Services Expo in Brimbank. The first event last year received great community feedback, so it is wonderful to see the return of this popular event,' Cr Papafotiou said.

'It is an interactive expo. That means there will be things like emergency vehicle displays, demonstrations of simple CPR and a chance to meet our emergency service workers.'

The following emergency service agencies will be at the expo:

  • Ambulance Victoria
  • Australian Federal Police
  • Australian Red Cross
  • Brimbank State Emergency Services
  • Metropolitan Fire Brigade and
  • Victoria Police

There will also be kids' activities, give-aways, the opportunity to speak to experts about basic CPR, advice about what to do during a fire situation, keeping cool during extremely hot weather and more.

The Brimbank Emergency Services Expo is hosted by Brimbank Council, in partnership with Watergardens Town Centre.

The expo will be held on Saturday 28 March 2020, 10am-3pm, Station Street, Watergardens Town Centre, 399 Melton Highway, Taylors Lakes.
