Brimbank tables Draft Festivals and Events Policy & Strategy 2022-2025

Council is calling for comment on its draft Festival and Events Policy and Strategy 2022-2025 which is a long term vision to guide future Brimbank festivals and events.

Brimbank City Council is proud to deliver a festival and events program that is content diverse, supports gender and social equity, and is geographically spread across the municipality.

The draft Festival and Events Policy and Strategy 2022-2025 continues the direction set by the 2018-2021 Policy and Strategy, it outlines the resource commitments Council will make and how Council will work with the local community to ensure festivals and events are inclusive, best practice, safe, sustainable and flourishing.

Resources and support to be provided by Council include the community grants program, as well as ongoing support and resources around professional development and training, marketing and promotion, and audience and cultural development.

Council's Festivals and Events Policy and Strategy 2022-2025 also explores the opportunities for Brimbank to partner with signature Melbourne or regional based festivals and events to bring new audiences and offerings to our program.
