Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is on scene at a grass fire burning in inaccessible land near Kittani Street and Savages Road, Brookfield. This fire broke around 11:30am. Firefighters are currently trying to extinguish the blaze. Smoke may affect the area throughout the afternoon and into the evening, so residents should close windows and doors, and keep their respiratory medications close by if required. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents think their property is under threat, they should call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
