Brunswick aggravated burglary and subsequent deceptions

Moreland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following an aggravated burglary in Brunswick and subsequent deceptions in March, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told an unknown man entered the victim’s house via an unlocked window while the victim slept at their Barkly Street residence sometime between 2am and 6am on 18 March.

A handbag was stolen containing the victim’s credit card.

The stolen credit card was used by to make several purchases within the Melbourne CBD from 4.30am to 6.05am on 18 March.

The man police wish to speak to is described as approximately 20-30-years-old, Caucasian in appearance, average, short spiked fair coloured hair wearing a black ‘Everlast’ tracksuit, white footwear and carrying a black satchel bag.

Police have released images of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their enquiries.
