Bullet holes found in shopfront in Lawson

Police are investigating after two bullet holes were discovered in a shopfront at Lawson, in the Blue Mountains, NSW Police say.

The damage was discovered at the grocery store in Honour Avenue about 6.30pm last night yesterday, however could have occurred sometime in the past three months.

Police from Blue Mountains Local Area Command were notified and attended a short time later, securing a crime scene.

Forensic specialists processed the scene and located a bullet lodged in a CCTV system.

Detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
