Burglary and assault charges at Berserker, QLD

Detectives investigating an alleged burglary and assault incident at Berserker on Sunday March 5  have charged two men, Queensland Police say.

It is alleged at about 8pm, two men forcibly entered a Elphinstone Street residence and violently assaulted a man and two women.

All three occupants were able to flee the address.  The man and two women were transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with serious facial injuries.

Police and a dog squad unit conducted patrols with two men taken into custody in nearby Randwick Street.

A 22-year-old Rockhampton man has been charged with one count each of enter dwelling with intent and assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company.  The man will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on April 3.

A 20-year-old Norman Gardens man has been charged with one count each of burglary and commit indictable offence and obstruct police.  The man will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on March 6.

Investigations are continuing.
