Burglary and dangerous driving in Yeronga, QLD

South Brisbane detectives are investigating the overnight break-in and theft of alcohol from a Yeronga bottle shop, Queensland Police say.

Around 2.10am on December 20 a stolen green Hyundai sedan carrying four males pulled up in front of the Fairfield Road business.

Three males exited the vehicle and smashed their way through the glass front doors using a large retaining wall block.

Once inside they stole a large quantity of alcohol before fleeing in the stolen vehicle.

This vehicle was sighted travelling south on Fairfield Road by police soon after and a pursuit commenced.

Police pursued the vehicle through Annerley and onto Logan before terminating the pursuit due to the dangerous driving of the vehicle and the danger this presented to other road users.

Police have released two CCTV still images of the vehicle taken from a neighbouring business.

Anyone who sights the vehicle – a green 1999 Hyundai Excel with Queensland registration 944-WLX, is asked not to approach it but to immediately contact police.

This vehicle had been stolen from Marsden on December 18.
