Burglary and fraud at Sunshine Coast

Sunshine Coast police are searching for a thief who went on a spending spree with stolen credit cards after breaking into a home last month.

On April 12 a person smashed their way into a residence on Lindsay Road in Buderim and took a substantial amount of property including credit cards, jewellery and other personal items.

Later that day a man went to a number of local businesses and made purchases on the stolen cards, including a service station at Kunda Park and a supermarket and bottle shop in Woombye.

The man attempted to make a transaction at a licensed premises on Blackall St, Woombye before leaving empty-handed when card was declined.

Police have released vision of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries and are urging who may recognise the man or know his whereabouts to come forward (details below).
