Burglary and UUMV investigation, Griffin

Police are investigating an armed robbery at an address in Griffin overnight.

It will be alleged around 10pm two males have arrived at an address on Greens Road, in a stolen vehicle, and entered the property through a bedroom window, whilst the occupants were home.

Once inside the pair have stolen a handbag and two sets of car keys before attempting to leave the address in a vehicle parked outside.

The men were confronted by the occupant of the property, who has attempted to take back a set of keys.

The men have subsequently alighted from the vehicle and threatened the owner with a knife before taking off in a stolen Audi.

The vehicle was recovered abandoned a short time later in Brighton. A search at the scene failed to locate the two men.

Police are appealing for assistance to locate the men. One of the men is described as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance and was wearing all black with a black hoodie.

The second man is described as Pacific Islander in appearance and was also dressed in dark clothing.

Investigations are continuing.
