Burglary charges, Sunshine Coast

Police have charged two men following an extensive investigation into burglary offences in the Sunshine Coast area over the past three months, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged from late October 2016 to December 2016 the men committed numerous break and enter offences in the Tanawah, Mons, Forest Glen areas where a large amount of property was stolen including jewellery, money, computer and TV equipment, motor cycles and clothing totalling $130 000.

On December 16 police executed a search warrant at an address on Tanawha Tourist Drive where two men were arrested and numerous property items seized.

A 29-year-old man from Tanawha was charged with ten counts of burglary, two counts of fraud and one count each of possess tainted property, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of utensil and possess anything used in commission of a crime.

A 28-year-old man from Tanawha was charged with five counts of burglary.

Both men have been remanded in custody to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on December 23.
