Burglary with violence at Eight Mile Plains, QLD

Detectives are investigating after a woman was assaulted at Eight Mile Plains this afternoon, Queensland Police say.

Just before 4pm, a man attended a Colvillea Street residence claiming to work in the property industry.

When the 32-year-old female resident replied the property was not for sale, the man pushed the woman’s head into a table at the front door and then into a mirror.

The assault resulted in facial cuts to the woman and decorative items on the table were smashed and destroyed.

Police responded to a Triple Zero (000) call from the woman and immediately commenced patrols of the area but have not located anyone matching the description.

The man is described as approximately 30-years-old with an Australian accent and wearing a blue suit with a white shirt and a tie.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious behaviour in the area at the time is asked to contact police.
